Materials Planner- Supply Chain
Our client is starting a new S & OP Planning team and is looking for your expertise! The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for executing supply and demand plans in order to meet on time delivery, adequate stock requirements and cash flow targets. This global company supplies parts for a variety of large machinery and ships them all across the United States and internationally, making them one of the largest and most successful suppliers in their field. Within this role, collaboration with suppliers, customers, and colleagues within logistics, sales, marketing, and purchasing are critical to achieving these objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Analyze and manage inventory levels at multiple distribution centers within the United States, Canada and Mexico while maintaining their reputation by demonstrating superior communication and solutions for their established suppliers.
- Understand customer requirements and research sources to secure the necessary material needed per manufacturing replenishment plans.
- Proactively engage with other departments such as marketing and sales on forecasting market trends, customer needs, and phase-in/phase-out projects.
- Communicate with warehouses, accounting department, and suppliers of any order conflicts and develop warehouse delivery reports while maintaining updates in the ERP System.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not a must
- 2-3 years of work experience with Production Planning, Materials Planning or Supply Chain Planning in the manufacturing or distribution field needed.
- Prefer advanced MS Excel skills.
- Knowledge and experience with ERP systems.
- APICS certifications are a big plus!
