Staffing Misconceptions

Why do you think job candidates choose not to use a staffing firm?

Whether they think they can find a job on their own, don’t want to pay fees, or just simply don’t know which one to go to….the bottom line is that applicants are not using a very powerful resource!

Only 4% of professional job seekers indicate they used a staffing firm as their first resource during their job search. *

4%!

Let me tell you from personal experience, in 2007 I went through a career change and I have to admit I was very hesitant on sending my resume into an agency. After a week of being unemployed I was terrified that I wouldn’t find a job for months. Yes, just 1 week. I saw an ad from an agency that I was interested in online and decided…what’s the worst that could happen?

I got a call the very next day from the agency for an interview. It turns out I was only unemployed for 3 weeks between my transition stage.  The staffing agency found me a position which I have been at for 3+ years now.

So, what I have learned is that Staffing agencies and firms are set up to help you. Why not take advantage and let them do the work for you?

Professional job seekers significantly submit more resumes and are granted more interviews than those searching without the aid of a staffing firm. *

So, how many applications and resumes have you submitted with no response…?

Go to your local staffing agency and see if they can help you. Preferably one that doesn’t charge a fee.

You’re only wasting time until you find out if they can help you or not. Job seekers need all the help they can get when it comes to finding a job these days.
