Stabilize Your Staff

Do you ever wonder which employees are not happy with their current positions?

What about which ones already have one foot out the door?

Leave it to the experts!

Mercer released a survey asking 2,400 people in the U.S. workforce what they thought about their jobs.

The result: One in three (32%) are looking to leave their current positions.

How do you know which staff members are planning to leave from the others who are not looking to make a move? The study shows….

-Men rank slightly higher than women coming in at 34%.

-Your youngest staff members (ages 16-24) are the most likely to be considering leaving – topping the charts with 44% and ages 25-34 following closely behind at 40%.

-Short tenured employees (being with the company for 1-2 years) also come in first at 43%

And last but not least, 37% are more than likely to be management.

Out of all these statistics, the most popular industries that would see these trends are mid-sized High-Technology companies and the Retail/Leisure industries.

There is going to be a lot of change once the economy picks back up, making it an applicant’s market. Total compensation, career opportunities, co-workers and the type of work being done are reasons why these employees are scanning the market.

To prepare for the future, take a good look at your team and take action now to improve productivity and stabilize your staff for what‘s ahead.
