A new article from The American Staffing Association stated:
- 57%of working American’s will be looking for a job in 2014
- 66% of those in jobs are now optimistic about the 2014 economy outlook
Of those looking the following is the reason they are considering a move:
- 48% will move for money
- 27% will move for career advancement
- 9% will move for boredom and job distaste
Slightly more than half 54% said they would be willing to work for less money for a more fulfilling job
On the other side of the equation:
- 39% would not move because of job stability or economic uncertainty
- 23% would not move because of pay or benefits and listed those as the reasons for likely staying put
